Hello I have a 02 vert and the battery keeps dieing on me. About every 30 days or so i have to put a charger on it to bring it back. Can any on tell me about this, or is this something that happens to all vettes. Please help
Is it the original battery?? if so check and see if it is leaking. That's a common, very expensive problem. If you're gonna buy a new one look at remybattery.com. I bought a Excide Orbital battery, NTB and Napa auto parts also sell them but at a higher price.
I've stayed away from Optima red top batterys, it seems to be a hit or miss type of thing. Many problems with the Optima. You can do a search on the Forum. Hope this helps. David
PS Buy a battery tender and use it when in storage.

Very expensive? Excuse my ignorance but why would this be expensive?
the battery only goes dead if i leave the car sit for a while. is this common?
I believe your Corvette manual tells you NOT to let the car sit for more than 25 days without running it because it can pull the battery down. I started my car yesterday as it has been over two weeks since it was driven for that reason. I have had no problem with the battery by taking their advice. Wishing you the very best...
Also check to make sure anything that might have a light on when opened is closed all the way. I had a similar problem on my 92 and finally figured out I was leaving the console slightly open which evidently allowed the console light to be on and undetectable and that was doing it over a long down period. I made sure the console was all the way closed and the problem stopped for me.
Its your remote control for your alarm system. It is constantly drawing from your batter while you store it. Just start it a couple times a month a let it run for about 10 minutes and that will solve your problem.
