I dont know the technique to remove codes on the vette without a scanner.
You have to flip the switch twice for the headlights to go on. The first flip of the switch is to turn on the parking lights, the second one for the headlights.
NOTE - erasing the codes DOES NOT fix a problem. If there is a problem with the EBCM (which controls AH and TC) the codes will set again at some point when the car is being driven.
I turned the lights all the way off and all the way on lights would only come up on second try.Is this normal?
Normal ??? What do you think ????
No, it's not normal. Possibly a grounding issue for the headlamp drive system. If that's what it is, it is relatively easy (and inexpensive) to fix. See sticky at the top of this forum about electrical issues in the C5.
So long as the headlights were coming up/down together, and stopped making noise once they were in the full UP or DOWN position, it is most likely grounding.
