Default Check engine light! help =(

This morning on my way to work, the DIC said "ACTIVE HANDLING SYTEM WARMING UP" which I had never seen before. I stop and get some gas and it still says it's warming up so I leave my engine on while I pump my gas. After I get gas, I pull around to the back, turn the key off, and put some air in my front tire. When I get back in the car and crank it, the Check Engine Light stays on. I was thinking possibly it was due to me running the engine without the gas cap on, but it's been on for over 30 min of driving, which seems unusual. The car itself acts perfectly normal and the Active Handling is back to normal.

should I freak out yet or give it a little longer to see if it's a gas tank pressure thing?

I think you should clear the code and see if it comes back. That will tell you if it's been corrected.

NOTE - erasing the codes DOES NOT fix a problem.
