Default '97 electrical problems

Hoepfully someone can give me a hint of what my problem is.
I had to replace the running light bulb on the right front of my '97 coupe . I raised the headlights up and shut them off so I can get my hand between the headlight bucket and frame. I replaced the bulb and it worked fine. I decided to wash the car and since the headlights were up anyway I'll leave them up and wash them too. Later on when I was about to put her in the garage the headlights came on but they wont flip down and I have no dashboard lights rear tailights or fog lamps???? All gages work and the headlights will turn on and off but the buckets wont flip back down and like I said no dashboard lights, raer tailghts or fog lamps. I looked for something I might have loosened when I replaced the bulb and found nothing. I even disconnected the wiring to the motors and reconnected them but nothing. I then disconnected the battery and thought maybe it will reset itself but nothing. I'm stumped. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I hate bringing it to a dealer. Bill Hermanek

Check the grounds on the top frame rails under the hood near the front.

There's a control module for the lights on the passenger side behind the headlamp ***'y (in the engine compartment) that has two connectors on it. Maybe you disconnected one of the plugs accidentally. I'm not sure what all it controls, but wouldn't hurt to check. Those lights go through different fuses, so a fuse is unlikely. All those lights you named go through the headlight switch, so maybe something with the stalk. It sure sounds like you got something wet that is shutting it down. Maybe when it dries out? Recheck your grounds, though I wouldn't think it would affect the rear lights. Post what you find.
Here's a picture I pirated from another post showing the control module. It's on the right side by the radiator.
