Hello Corvette people, I'm doing a header swap on a couple of Z06's this weekend and I broke off a header bolt in the head. I broke the second bolt back on the driverside head. Someone who had the car before him did some work or putthe car back to stock and screwed up the header bolts and the bolts got mixed up so I could not place them back in there correct bolt hole. Does anyone have any tips. Could I install the headers with the bolt missing to move the car to another location? I was barrowing someones lift and the car has to be out by tomarrow. I'm thinking if I install it and drive it to another location to pull the head will that be ok or will the header leak bad? Any info from you Techs out there would help me out alot.

I would use a easy out to remove the bolt if it is still stuck in there. Check the threads on the bolt hole to see if they are stripped or worn. If so just re tap them with a tap and die set. No need to remove the head for this. You could drive the car with one header bolt missing without a problem.
Sears Craftsman sells some easy out bits that you could try.
Not sure how deep that they heads of bolts are broken down inside. Might be able to notch them with a dremel and then use a screw diver to get them out.
your best bet is to use a 90* drill attachement (or a 90* drill) to drill it out and use an Easy-out on it. Not much room for a normal style drill down in there, especially since it needs to be a fairly straight hole.
