mn12-mn6

Is the mn6 a direct bolt in replacement for the mn12 on the z06? How about the temperature sensor, is there one on the MN6?

same exact tranny, just a little different gearing. All will fit and hook up

If you have a Z06 with temperture light in dash then you can use the same sensor in the MN6.

If you got a C5 coupe or vert you're out of luck for temperture unless you install an aftermarket system.

I thought on the coupe and convertible you could see your transmission temperature(MN6). It was just the Z06 that had the Trans temp to high(MN12). Am I mistaken?

I think it's for the auto tranny that you can check temp not the manual trannys.

Yes the Auto trans you can check the temp. On the Z06 - MN12 there is also a high trans temp warning. the MN6 does not have this.

However, IIRC the temp sensor is in the drain plug of the MN12. I dont see why it could not be put in the drain plug of the MN6, unless one is using a trans cooler.
