Blows #2 Fuse I/p
Hi. Hope someone can help. I have a 2001 ragtop with 13000mi. This is the first time any problem has happened. It keeps blowin the #2 fuse so the auto mirror, glove box lite under hood lite and vanity mirrors don't work. I found a blown lite bulb on the under the hood lamp and replaced it. Still blows fuses. I tried isolating the circuits affected and found that if I disconnected the BCM C2 plug it no longer blows fuses.Does this mean I have to relace the BCM? If I have to replace it can I use one bought over the internet with the service #10304931 like the one that is installed in it now? When I install it I guess I will have to get it programmed at the dealer or is there another way? The circuit is called the monitored load circuit. Has anyone heard of any other people having trouble with these electronics? Thanks for any help.

I have the same problem and it seems to be related to my underhood light. As long as I leave the light bulb out, everything is fine. I am looking for a new light assembly/harness for the underhood light.

This may be why my under hood light was disconnected on my recently purchased 2003 Z06. there is a connector about 6 or 7 inches from the lamp, just below the lamp. Disconnect that and see if you fuse blows anymore. I have left mine disconnected because I have my battery tender hooked up sometimes and I leave my hood open.

fuse 2 blows!
Wow i cant believe the knowledge on this forum! I bought a 2001 triple black mt convertible and fuse 2 keeps blowing. I looked up on the forum read the post that said it could be the vanity lights, went out to the car flipped the left visor and the fuse blew!!!!
