Default LS6 intake install

I just bought an LS6 intake for my 2000 c5 and was
wondering if I needed anything else (different coolant
pipe, hose. etc...) before I can install it. TIA, Tom

I just ground the fins down on the bottom of the intake so i could use the stock coolant lines.

That is the only thing you will have to do, otherwise it is a direct bolt on replacement.

I would recommend going to www.ls1howto.com and following their procedure line by line. I just used their head/cam swap procedure, and it went great (except that I messed up my oil pump O-ring and had to tear back into it, but that was my fault, not the instructions'). If you bought a used intake, it tells you how to block off the back lines. I got mine new, so it came with the goodies to make it work... Good luck!

same here..... awesome write-up.... i ended up using a 90* sanding wheel to knock all of the ribs off of my intake when i installed it. It was sitting about 1/4 off of where it should be before
