The PCM just slides out of the inner bracket (the one bolted to the frame). The battery had leaked at some point when it was under previous ownership and cruded up the outside of the PCM. I broke the plastic bracket prying it out with a screwdriver. Don't worry if this happens to you, they are only $12 at the dealership.
In addition to my instructions, I haven't checked it yet but I believe it will be easier to get to the bracket bolts if you remove the lower bolts from the fender and pull the fender out some. I'll check it later this week since I'm going to be pulling the fender out a little to get to something.

It was over kill, but I removed the fender to get at the PCM to repair battery acid damage. Made it easy. But, Cajundude's right. just loosen the fender. ===> Remove the passenger wheel well access panel. Next, there's a bolt underneath the fender towards the back of the fender, remove that. Look back towards the rear inside the fender, you'll see a bolt holding the fender about 2/3 the way up from the bottom of the fender, remove it. Lossen the torx screws along the top of the fender and any bolts holding it to the wheel well liners. Now she's nice and loose. Should be able to pry it out enough to remove the PCM and bracket with no problems. Don't force the fender, you don't want to crack it. Replace your Vacuum reserve check valve (cheap part at dealer) while you're in there, they tend to crack over time.
Good Luck,

I JUST did it last week - I followed CajunDude's write up, but I was a little confused -
1. I removed the pass front wheel
2. remove the black fender piece as per CajunDude
3. CajunDude said remove 3 screws as I recall; however, I only needed to remove 2 screws from the bracket that holds the PCM in place -
4. remove the 2 wire harnesses from the bottom of the computer
5. wiggle the computer out - might need a screwdriver to pry a little
NOTE: when I re-install my computer, I'm going to coat the area where it fits into the bracket w/ de-electric silicone grease to make for easier (I hope) removal if needed in the future.
All in all, the removal wasn't as big a project as I anticipated - hopefully install is a piece of cake.

Good Luck,
I did the same. I couldnt remove it without taking the fender off. Oh well.
