Default Install LS6 intake manifold?

Can anyone point me in the direction of a thread for installation instructions of a LS6 intake manifold? I appreciate the help. I am swaping out my LS1, with a LS6 and ported and polished TB and a Vararam. I have the instructions and knowhow for the other stuff just not the intake manifold. Can't wait to get started. Thanks again. Wish me luck!

www.ls1howto.com has a good writeup, it's pretty straightforward. Watch out for the oil pressure sending unit, and don't forget the vacuum lines on the back of the manifold! Also, the rear bolts won't come out all the way with the manifold in the car. Take the front bolts out and the rear 2 you will have to lift up when you lift the intake. Good luck!

On the two rear bolts, get a piece of 1/4" fuel line, split it, and then cut it about an inch long or so (measure on car). Then lift the rear bolts and put the fuel line around the exposed section of the bolt shaft. This will hold them up and keep them from catching on anything.

does your new intake have the raised ribs on the bottom of it? If so, you'll need to grind/sand some of them off for it to clear the water piping that runs under it.

Thanks! That was very helpful. I took a chisel and a hammer and chiped out the ribs. It was really easy. I have everything back together including the ported and polished TB. Now I have to put on the MAF and the Vararam that I'm adding. Sure hope she starts when I'm finished. It took me about two hours. I know, thats pretty slow. It's been a while since I've worked on my own car. I appreciate all the help.
