Default Rotor grinding

Cant find the problem.
change calipers, mounting bracket, pads, guide pins etc.
bracket is rubbing into the rotor, on the pass side.
what can it be, wheel hub? alginment? bad control arm?
anybody else had this problem or just me. 97 coupe.
with z06 rims and cailpers.
also did the grinding with stock calipers.
started 2 weeks ago. didnt hit anything,
please Help

That's weird ... here's what I would do ...

* Remove wheel/tire

* Put lug nuts back on the rotor and tighten them to keep the rotor in place

* Grab rotor and try to move it side to side .... not spin it

* If the rotor is loose and moves, replace wheel bearings/wheel hub

The rotor and caliper bracket are mounted to the hub, so alignment won't account for this, and even a bad control arm shouldn't cause this either. If you still can't find it, maybe some pictures of the problem would help.

One other thing. If you took the rotor off and put it back on before you switched the calipers you could have a problem with the rotor seating on the hub. Make sure the hub is clear of corrosion before seating the rotor. Any corrosion or possibly some damage to the hub center can cause the rotor to be out of line with the hub. If sufficiently out of line it could cause the rotor to scrape the caliper bracket.

the rotor started to scrap before i change the caliper.
so i put new caliper rotor and bracket on it. except for the wheel hub, that would suck if i spent that money for not. and all i needed was a new hub! LOL
thanks for all the quick replies.
i love this forum.
