Here's my $0.02.
The cheaTR is a great cam, but hard on valve springs. Plan on changing more frequently than the others. The voodoo will be a little easier on the springs but the idle will be a little choppier. Futral has a good reputation, not sure on that cam though.
I'm happy with my 224/228 on 112 and .588...
not sure why you'd go to a 224/230 on a 114 lsa, seems the duration and lobe seperation are working against each other, but I'm no expert Some of those have pretty big lift numbers too.
Then you mention 'daily driver'. Welcome to cam selection conumdrum. MY cam is so hot my wife no longer drives the car. But it's a daily driver for me. There is no *answer* out there... only opionions.
'street performance daily driver' you seek, camshaft selction be careful you must. -yoda
yes, daily driver. for me light chop is ok but not something that will shake the fillings out of my teeth . all of these cams are strong in the midrange and peak out around 6500rpm and should have a semi smoth idle.
Ask the person who is going to tune it and make sure to choose a cam they guarentee they can tune to your satisfaction. I had a 230-236 112 +2 in my H/C 346 and it was speed density tuned. It drove much better than a friend's 224-224 114 cam.
