Jack up rear higher than front to drain an additional 4 ounces.
There are 2 different oil stick/tubes. One (early years) shows 6.5 quarts full at top of line. Later years (I am not sure of cut over year) show 6.5 quarts at "half full" mark. This is why some people say it takes 7 quarts.
Use 6.5 quarts and see where yours comes to.
