Default 1.8 ratio rockers question

Hi, I am in the process of ordering the YT rockers. I have a 232/234, .595/.598 cam and PRC 2.5 stg LS6 heads with double valve springs and hardened standard 7.4 pushrods. Will the 1.8 ratio rockers be ok? How much more horsepower can I expect? Do I need a retune? Thanks.

I wouldn't do 1.8's with that cam. Accelerations will be high and the lift may be more than those springs will handle, but you don't mention which springs exactly you are using.

All I know is these springs came with the PRC heads so I am assuming the double springs are PRC.

You need to measure your installed height and distance to the seal from the retainer and compute your open spring height. Don't go by the advertised values as you are likely installed at an installed height that is less than 1.800". Personally, I think you will be overtaxing this valve train.

I have 1.8's with a 228/229 & .565 lift. Had interference with the valve covers that required relieving. A very good combination.
