Default LS6 Heads on LS1 Engine!!

Has anyone put LS6 Heads on an LS1 Engine? How much of a gain in BHP would be expected on an N/A LS1 if any?

Is that really a question? Honestly try "Searching" I'm sure you could find a gazillion threads on LS6 head installs. Hence the lack of responses your getting.

You would need to upgrade the cam also to see any power gains. A cam only swap will net more HP than a head swap.

I was told that up gradeing to LS6 heads on a LS1 would yeild about 15hp, if you do the LS6 cam too you would see about 30-35hp as I was told. Not worth it imo unless you can get them dirt cheap

you can get some CNC upgraded LS2/6 heads with upgraded springs and port and polish for under 1K

I would check out Ls1tech.com and ask around there for some Known workable power combos, if you going to do a heads and cam swap then you want to make more that stock z06 power for the money its going to cost you

Don't waste $$$ on stock heads, go aftermarket.

false....its 15 for just the heads at peak. You can get 14 for just the compression bump from 10.1:1 to 11.1:1 which works even with the stock cam.....and thats 20 rwtq for the compression alone.
