U.S.gall or U.K. gall
hey,
I will shortly be taking my C5 to England.
Now as we all know, the U.S. gallon is 20% less than a U.K. gallon.
that is, a U.S. gallon is 3.8Liters, and a U.K. gallon is 4.54 liters.
Is there a way of reprogramming the miles per gallon read out on the dic, or does it simply measure in liters and convert. (a liter being the same quantity every where )
What I want is to know how much miles per U.K. gallon I will be getting

25 mpg US is equal to 29.9 mpg Imperial
30 mpg US is equal to 35.9 mpg Imperial . Assuming you are somewhere in that range just add 5.5 mpg to the DIC reading and you will be close..
or just add 20% to the reading... if you can live with an accuracy difference of about 0.5%
