I'd like to know as well and how they compare to the Raybestos QuietStops (AC Delco Durastops).

I've used them on 2 Mercedes which are considerably heavier cars than a Corvette. No dust, quiet, and excellent stopping power. They are my current pad of choice for the street.

I thought this would be an easy question to resolve using the forum? I've used Akebono Pro-Act Ceramic on heavier, and lighter cars (Lexus GS-300, Infinity M35x, Honda S-2k). All with much better results that OEM's). My driving is street spirited/not track (just don't get next to me at a red light). I now own a C-6, small block, w/6-speed man, 3:36, drilled rotors. Having had such good results w/Akebono before (much less dust, no squeaks, and they stop great). And having read about all the others. I'm going to stick with Akebono's Pro-Act. I'll keep you posted.

FWIW: I put a set of CarboTech 1521's in with the new wheels. They are a low dust pad and what dust there is is non-corrosive unlike the HAWK pads I ran before. I don't have a lot of miles on them but so far I'm very impressed with braking and the low dust thing.. I tried the AC Delco Ceramics and HATED them. I took them out after a couple hundred miles.

I have Akebono on my car now, have only one hard stop to compare to OEM, 125 to 45mph in...well real quick! Very pleased is how I would describe my opinion, and do recommend. Hard to balance low dust and performance; I don't track my car, but will race at a drop of a hat on the street and need the confidence to stop quick.

Check this pad out for performance street with low dusting.

The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser, and has won multiple SCCA Solo 2 and Prosolo National Championships. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. Bobcat 1521™ compound has also been found to extend the life of your rotors 2-3 times. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.
