Default Rear end noises when turning a sharp corner

I have started noticing some rear end noises when turning a sharp corner with my '04 coupe (8500 miles). Any idea what might be the cause? Also, suggested fix? I know C6's have had some differential problems but don't rermember differential problems with C5's, other than seal leaks. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Jan

Diff fluid may be low or you need more additive. check for leaks. then drain and refill with the limited slip additive.

PS- so hows the weather in Seattle?

My wife's '03 had the same problem...mostly when backing out of the driveway. Replaced the diff fluid with Redline, added a bottle of GM friction modifier, and it has been fine for nearly a year.

Had this problem on my 04 also. Had a leaky rear diff cover and when they replaced the seal they changed the fluid and additive and the problem went away.

You didn't describe what the noises were but mine started making whining groaning noise, out of the blue, when I went around the tight turns in my parking deck. I changed the differential fluid and replaced it with Royal Purple and a little bit of GM friction modifier. Problem went away.

My '99 coupe (26K) was doing the same thing. As mentioned b/4, I also changed out the diff. fluid with factory fill. Noise is history. Some of the reason for the noise is low use of the car.
