Default zo6 sway bar install

im trying to install z06 sways on my 03 ae vert. i bought poly bushings for rear and the rear sway went on ok. the trouble is with the front sway. the bushings (30mm), because of being new, are making it really diffucult to put the bracket on and tighten them down. i havent been able to install the front sway yet due to this. is there any trick or short cut to help me get them tigthened down. i was trying this with the stock rubber z06 bushings but im ordering the poly bushings tomorrow but it dont think this will make a differance. thanx for the help brad

Are you unable to get the bolts started in the holes, or?

no i cant get the bracket that goes over the bushing close enough to the front hole (higher up) to start the bolt. i tried pushing on the bar to compress the bushing while my friend tried to get the bolt started and we still could get it. maybe im just to weak.

make sure you are putting the bushings on right, it is easy to get them on the wrong way, and if you have to foce fit them like that, i bet that is the probelm.

Put a little hair around the holes and it will go right in....

On a serious note you got something wrong because it should align without any problems.

should align easily, make sure you have the bar oriented correctly, and if need be, put the bar to the frame first, and then compress each suspension individually to connect the end links.
