Default Maf question

Would changing mass airflow sensors from one car to another work? Both cars are 2000 corvettes. One is auto and one is manual. Is this possible? Is there any precautions or consequences? Thank you.

This should not be a problem ,especially if both are from the same year. The sensor is preset and does not matter if its for an auto or stick.

If you remove the screen in the MAF, you may provide benefit to WOT performance BUT,,,,,,you may effect part throttle performance in a negative way!!!! Your fuel mileage may drop a little as you will effect you MAF calibration. Any time you change the air flow through the MAF, it effects the calibration! The ONLY way to really monitor the effect positive or negatively is by using tuning software like EFI LIVE or HP Tuners.

When your in WOT, you don't use the MAF calibration.

My 2 cents.
