Its a shop calles central florida tubo. There some real bad *** cars there. 500 plus street. We just finished putting twin turbo setup on a buddies 99 mustang. It was dynoed at 1084 with 20+lbs. of boost. Plus major engine work.
Don't do that unless you are very skilled! If you do you can very very easily take off too much material and put a hole in the bottom of the manifold
IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO GRIND THE BOTTOM OF THE LS6 MAIFOLD!
It is only about $60.00 for the two plugs for the rear and the bypass tube! It is simpler and safer to do! You will also save much time doing it this way!
Perhaps do a post to see everyone's who's done a LS6 manifold swap what they would do! You got my vote here for the bypass kit!
If you need the GM part numbers for the plugs and bypass tube let me know!
Thanks,Matt
I was told that doing the block off can cause either the front or the rear "can't remember" to get hotter. Don't know if it's true so i just cut the fins off. I agree though, you have to be very careful

That would be the rears you are talking about. It has been proven it wont and doesn't make any difference at all and does no adverse effect to the LS series motors whatsoever!
All will be okay otherwise a whole ton of us would also be buying new motors

I did not know about this method...............I will definitely be cutting those fins off and saving the money. To me that is a no brainer unless you like to spend money on rubber tubes and a few metal fittings........that is ridiculous.

There was someone on here a few years ago that did this with success. He left his LS1 water tubes in place, applied white paint to the upper surfaces of them, laid his Z06 manifold down on top of them very slowly and in the correct position, them Dremeled along where the white paint showed up.
