Please Help!!! A/C leaking inside
1. First issue is a very common problem on the c5... The a/c drain/utter is located on the firewall behind/below the intake manifold.. It comes out and points down towards the ground like a water faucet.. The end of the utter is very very restrictive.. So restrictive that it will clog over time.. When it clogs.. Guess what happens??? Yep.. you guessed right.. Condensation/water builds up with no where to go, except on the passenger floorboard, leaving a wet mold/mildew smell along with it.. You can remove the "L" shaped plastic drain/utter by simply pulling it out of the firewall, snipping the end off with a knife or scissors.. It will of course be clogged with mold and crud.. I had hell getting mine back on,, so I just left it off.. Water still drains out.. It just dribbles down the firewall.. No big deal... No more mess.. No more mildew smell
2. Second issue is the whine noise.. Another common problem.. Its hard to diagnose the problem without me actually listening to it... However, more than likely its one of the a/c tensioner pullies and/or the belt.. The belt may look just fine, however they lose grip after time and start slipping.. Get the Goodyear Gatorback Belt at Autozone $15.99... The noise could also be a pulley or tensioner on th a/c side.. Very typical for the bearings to go dry.. You can spray WD-40 on the tensioner pully and idler pulley and the whine will temporarily go away, but eventually will come back.. Fred Beans ( a forum parts vendor) has the best price on them $15-20 a piece.. $ 32 for the tensioner ( which you probably do not need. just buy the pulley itself.. all the same size) It is possible that the tensioner is wore out,, but not likely the culprit... There are 2 more pullies on the main drive belt too Its best to replace all of them at once.. Otherwise you will be doing the job on another shortly

Water leaking into the foot well is most often a result of condensation building up in the AC/Heater plenum under the dash on the passenger side of the car. The plenum will hold more than a quart of water when its drain is clogged and sometimes you can even hear it slosh around.
When this plenum fills, the excess water will overflow into the blower motor and leak into the passenger compartment and eventually down onto the BCM where it can cause even more problems.
Unfortunately there are more than a few drains on the passenger side of the engine compartment that drain water from the engine compartment cowl area as well as the AC/Heater plenum. It is easy to mix them up. You will know when you get the correct plenum drain (assuming it is clogged), because you will get drenched with water. Once this drain is cleared, you should pay close attention to your car every time you park it (after having the AC on) to look for the water draining below the passenger cowl area onto the ground.
Bill Curlee has a very useful sticky posted at the top which has some excellent pictures of all of the drains in the cowl area and the AC drain in particular. I recommend you look it over carefully to orient yourself, as this is easily a problem you can solve on your own.
If the noise you are hearing is coming from the passenger side of the dash, I would suspect it is the result of the excess water hitting the "squirrel cage" in your blower assembly, as it sloshes out of the AC plenum. You can easily remove the entire blower motor assembly and check it out for yourself (as well as reach into the AC plenum) with this removed. Just remove the cardboard/foam shield under the passenger side dash and you will see the screws that hold the blower motor assembly in place. I also suspect you will find evidence of the water having passed through the blower motor assembly as it will leave a trail of rust on the assembly.
Good luck and let us know what you find... GUSTO
