Default Sorry... another diff question

ok... i've asked a handful of diff questions this last week and still have another...

I just need clarification now, because some of the answer i get are not 100%

http://www.c5frc.com/DIY/Hardened_Ou...haft/index.htm

This is step by step on how to replace the output shaft... and i found another one for replacing the right one as well... it seems pretty easy... easier than replacing a cam....

I mentioned in a thread that i was interested in upgrading my gears to 4.10s. but i was advised this was a bad idea as it requires a bunch of special tools.. not to sound like a smart a$$.. but looking at this install the gears are right there... i would really like some clarification on what i need professional help with and what i can do myself....

So to make this easy and make sure i get my answers...

Which items are a DIY and which require a professional???

Left (output shaft)
Right (output shaft)
clutch packs?
Gears?

also what gaskets/seals need to be replaced after a DIY job?

Gears require tools and experience to set up correctly, period.

It will only cost you about $400 bucks to find out if you can wing it...

I think the set of tools specific for this work run about $1100. I have set up many Ford and chevy rears and I would not try my verts diff. I had Andy at A&A change out the gears.
