YES--this manifold is new --it is called the "typhoon"---has been advertised recently in the last issue of GM High Tech Perfomance magazine---they claim 17.7 HP over the LS6 manifold -- 2 models--one will accept up to an 85mm t-body and the other up to a 96. Haven't heard of anyone using them yet or any real world performance. Web site and manufacturer is http://professional-products.com

The non-polish unit is even cheaper. Try it and let us know how good it works.

No they are made oversees which is why they are cheap. There is a post over on LS1tech about it. The owner of the company was talking about.

The company that makes it is Professional Products. Their MO is to look at the cool stuff out there for cars, copy it, and sell it much cheaper than the original.

I have a Professional Products SFI spec harmonic balancer on my TT Z06, pushing 790 ft/lb to the wheels. No issues with the balancer yet. From what I've heard from other folks, their other products are generally equally good.

I don't know how the manifold would work as far as power gains (I doubt very much) but I would feel comfortable saying that the manifold is likely reasonable quality and won't fall apart or not fit or something. But I don't know that for sure since I don't have one.

The thing that amazes me is that a lot of people on this site will scream "Buy American!" like it's their mantra when it comes to buying cars---then when it comes time to modify their cars, it's "*****'s market time".

The Overseas companies are laughing their asses off as everyone buys their knockoffs (See Korea & China as the biggest offenders) that they produce at pennies on the dollar (comparative over to over here in metal cost and labor) after stealing someone else's R&D time. Over there, patents don't apply (in a real-world sense).

This industry is a balloon that's hitting its breaking point. Soon enough, a lot of people who take the time to R&D new products that are worthwhile are going to realize that we're just wasting our time.

It's great to get a good product at a cheap price--until the new ideas taper off. The Chinese/Korean knock-off companies aren't doing jack for design, just finding a cheaper way of building someone else's product.

Nice rant... but you're right. I try to avoid stuff like this, unless it just becomes irresistable. 'Cause, I'm weak. Professional Products manifolds are made in China. Not sure which one, PRC, or ROC, and not sure it matters.... BTW, the one's they're selling here are all the 3 bolt standard TB fittings, not the LS2 90 TB.

Default Hmm

Hmm i can see how it may not stack up to manifolds like the F.A.S.T., but for the price i wonder if it would be a good option for someone currently sporting a LS1 intake?
