ive read alot about sticking clutches and my 02 Z06 suffers from it. i changed out the fluid with Prestone DOT 4 thx to rangers recommendations and it was great for a while. now its back again
yesterday i was at a stop light, the clutch FULLY pushed in and a foot on the brake pedal also i could not get the tranny out of gear. when i tried to let the clutch out it would not come off the floor, but the car still moved when i let off the brakes and did not stall. i had to pull it out with my foot. has anyone heard or experienced how this is possible?
Sure sounds like a hydraulic issue. Sounds like fluid leaked out allowing TO bearing to release clutch!! Has to be clutch master cylinder or slave, maybe a leaking line.
No tech but with all the problems with the clutches in C5's, your situation seems logical. Any fluid under the car or around master cylinder? Might want to look. Also check MC and see what fluid levels are like.
