Default quick (I hope) DTC code question

about every 20th time I start the car (00 MN6 coupe) I'll get the service active handling ABS light but when I check the codes they are all historical with none current (TCS-C1243H, U1096H, U1064H, U1016H). Bad ground, loose wire, random statistical event? Instincts tell me nothing serious but.... thanks ahead of time

If they are H [history] codes don't worry about them.

C1243 indicates you may have the start of a grounding problem with the pump motor ground. Check the ground connections on the frame in the engine compartment on the drivers side of the car (G101). There could be a little corrosion starting to build up between the ground and the frame or on the pins in the splice pack attached to it. Another potential problem could be the relay inside the EBCM is starting to go.

Default thanks Bill

did disassemble the ground system, cleaned, and reassembled...so far no codes, if this appears to solve the problem think I'll do the suggested conversion of the ground "quick" disconnect to a single eyelet that can be easily maintained

thanks again for the help

The U series can sometimes indicate that you have a weak 12 VDC battery. If the 12VDC drops too low upon cranking, some of the modules will shut down temproarily while the voltage is low (then set a History U series code. Once the engine starts, the voltage return to normal and all you have to show that there was a problem is a U series history code

Bill hit the nail on the head for the 1243 DTC
