Default Setting changes

Guys,
I'm about to go to the dealer for restting the fan temp. Since they will be connected to the computor what other setting(for any improuvement) do you recommand. Hardtop 99 with 125k. I'm in georgetown Delaware if anyone nearby i'll pay to use your computor.

Bump the shift firmness a bit if it is an automatic........

DEALER?? Bud,,,the dealer cant change the PCM to alter the EPA approved engine parmeters to suit the owner engine performance needs! They can "REFLASH' the PCM to an origional or up-dated GM program for your C5 but cant change any of the specific settings.

You can only have that stuff changed via a Tuner using tuning software like EFI Live, HP Tuners or LS1 Edit, or if you have your own tuning software listed above or one of the small hand held tuning programmers like Super chips or Preditor etc.

The dealer can however change stuff in the BCM to suit the owner.

Thanks what in the bcm can they change and by computor i mean those handhelp gismi your talking about.

A tech II can change any factory installed option. In otherwords, it can be remover or added. The exception is that the TPS option can not be removed from 97, 98,99, 2000 cars It can be remover/added to 2001 + cars

Why would the dealer be programming your car with a programmer other than the GM Tech II ???

No i'm about to go since i will change my stat i would rest the temp but i read someone says if you leave nearby come and i will change your setting for a few buck plus i will change some other setting he did not say witch
