Well here is my history:

Bought Pace car with stock exhaust: Was pretty loud, especially when standing on her.

Installed LG streets: A LOT louder. Wife bitching.................

Installed H/C: A TON LOUDER. A cop magnet. Loud all the time.

Bought Touring: A lot more tolerable. Very nice rumble. Wife happier.

Installed wideband in back O2 bung and took off cats: Freakin' louder than crap again.

Wife complains that she can't yap with buddies when accelerating. I tell her to shut up and listen to the baby purrrrrrrrr.

In all of the above, they are quiet at cruising. But on acceleration is when they make their sound.

When I'm thru tuning, I'll put cats back on and wife will be happy again.

Good luck.

I have the corsa pacecar and they are a little too quiet at idle but do wake up when you hit the gas . Overall I am happy with them. Nice looks too.

We've got the pace cars on both of our C5's. My wife loves the sound! she's even getting a little more comfortable standing on it I've got a Dyanatech Supermaxx header system to put on our coupe. Can't wait! I've had back surgery and move a little slowly so it's a huge hassle to do major work on cars anymore. But maybe next week I'll feel up to it. David

are the touring and pace editions the same at idle? I cant even hear the exhaust on my tourings? I do like the tone at WOT but with gas going up and up and up I dont floor it as much? Should I just get something like slp pro series?

Anyone ever heard the slp pro series?

No,they are not the same at idle. There is a easy modification you can do to make your Tourings sound just like the Pace car.
In the beginning of the inlet pipe of the Tourings the are small openings on the tourings, other then that they are the same.
Just roll some thin metal sheets and jam them in there and cover the openings and you have the Pace car,s!
I have done it and it made a huge difference in sound from idle to wot.
Here is a link with pics of them cut apart.Good luck!
