Default Which stall is the best for the street?

I'm switching to 3.42 gear. Should I go with 2600 or 3200 stall converter?

TIA,
MJ

3000 rpm stall in mine with 3.42's. If I had it to do over I'd put a 3500 in.

I just did a Yank SS 3600 W/3.73's ....awesome results with vararam. If i had it to do again i would go 3.42's w/2800-3000. This i think would be better for the street imho. Throttle tip-in would be less sluggish for around town. Freeway...because of lockup wouldn't make a difference while cruising.

Have had a Yank 3500 for over a year, it's great. I would go at least to a 3200 if you have any mods or plan on some in the future. I have 3:42's.

3000 to 3200.

This is subjective info.

Default Stalling

Thanks for the input! I've heard some members say that some converters are tighter than others? IF I went with something in hte low 3k range, wouldn't I have more sluggishness off the line/part throttle? Thats why I was thinking something in the 2600-2800 range.
?????

TIA,
MJ

That's the main reason for me choosing the 3000 to 3200 range, that's the breaking point for me. Any higher a stall and you begin to notice that sluggish feeling at lower revs.
