I've read dozens of posts on the vararam, most are positive. I want one, any advice on who may have the best price/delivery......Thanks

Got it promptly.

Even after reading the posts about it, I'm surprised at the very noticable sotp gain. Two to three tenths is VERY believable. And you get a subtle offset (from the exhaust pulses) intake sound when you go WOT.

Fitment was still a little subpar, but not as bad as I'd been led to expect... and definitely install some Z06 screens when you get yours. Now that I've put mine in, all the posts about vararams eating small critters make sense

I just went supercharged, had my vararam installed less than a month, will sell it for $300 shipped

I bought one from Cajun Dude. I believe it was just under or over $300 shipped. He shipped it out the very day I orderd it. You can run a serach for him and find him. The fitment does suck on these things, but I still think the ram air concept is a good idea. I had a dyno run with just the Vararam and a Z06 Titanium catback, and hit 317 at the wheel. Considering a stock 99 should be 300-305 at the wheel, I would assume I got some decent gains from it. And just in case you wonder about the dyno I used being overly optimistic, I hit 410 at the wheel with my head/cam package, which is definitely not on the high end for that setup based on what I have seen people get with it. In other words, even though I don't have a baseline before the Vararam, I'm pretty sure the dyno I used isn't set to give ego-boosting results.

Where are the fitment issues? If they are in the foglight area up front where everyone can see the shoddy fitment I will pass.
Does fitment sucks under hood only or in both areas? Anyone confirm this??

I just installed one yesterday on a 1998 Coupe for a friend and the fitment was much better than I remember for my Z. I bought a used system several years ago and the new ones are a bit different. Overall, the fit is but more precise. He has the fog lights and I think it turned out very nice.

He bought his from thelapd.com. Great guys out there in LA. I've bought things from them before and I have received everything within three to four days of ordering even here in AL. The order was $305 shipped. Received within three days of ordering.

The only negative thing about the Vararam.....is te installation and scraped knuckles and scratched forearms....!

The shoddy fitment is only visible from the inside. Even the finish is chincy looking; the plastic looks like shiny, cheap crap. But I still put one in my car, because I think it's the best concept for an intake.

Also have issues sealing around the filter. I had one and upgraded to the honker and I am happy I did .

For mine, the fitment issue is in the foglight area, not under the hood... The cutouts bolt up to the stock fittings perfectly, but once everything is lined up on top, the 'snorkels' don't seem to perfectly lined up with the foglight holes. you can't really notice it unless you get about a foot off the ground and look at it, tho.

Because of its design, you'll want some Z06 screens anyway (it becomes obvious that it's gonna ingest trash, small birds, maybe a civic or two...), so I consider it to be a non-issue.

got mine on ebay b2 267.01 shipped 250099021884 fit was good would like the color to match the fuel rail covers. changing spark plug number seven was quicker but harder than puting in a vararam

The B2 is great! We have one installed on Theresa's 02'... Unfortunately I can't sell them for as low as some guys do.. but if you are looking for a great deal on one.. I would suggest a used one... there are many out there in nice shape for alot less then new!
