I spent over $1500 repairing mine for a simple output seal leak. If I had to do over, I'd go with RPM. Cost more but you get a quality product with a warranty.

Check the link I gave you. You would pay $1695 for a level 4 tranny from RPM and $1995 for a level 5. The latter has been installed on cars running 9seconds in the 1/4 mile! Very strong tranny and it shifts really smoothly .
The prices I gave you don't include a converter.
Trust me,you can't go wrong with RPM transmissions! Many members running FI have RPM tranniesin their cars and I haven't seen a single complaint yet. This is what motivated me to get one. And after over a year of street abuse with close to 500 RWHP, it still feels like new!

I'm very happy with it. No problems at all.
RPM does great work from the posts out there and it is his specaility, but like I said, I'm very happy with mine. And you are local to Vette Dr's!

Your in good hands w/the Vette Doctors, they are pros & whatever they charge will be worth it.
Down here we charge $2400 for a level 4 build including the take out & install of the new one. Turn-around is app 4-5 days. We drag race this tranny in our C5 every weekend and it is as tough as can be.
