I recently posted a thread about some issues I was having with the F45 Suspension I have in my 98 coupe. I am getting the messages, "Shocks Inoperable", "Reduced Speed 80 MPH", and "Service Ride Control". When this showed up on my DIC, I swapped the shocks out and put in new Bsteins without the F45 option. I took the car to the local Chevy dealer to have the F45 tuned out of the system in the car like I was advised. The Chevy dealer looked at the car and could not get it to turn off or stop displaying the messages. They said they called the Chevy people and they had no idea what was wrong or how to fix it. Their solution was to reinstall a new F45 shock system....NOT HAPPENING> I know there is another solution to this...Will the sensors you can buy to trick the car into thinking the F45 is still working do the trick? Any info or suggestions would be great. As I said before, I am stil in the Big Sand box and cannot get to my car for another couple weeks.
Hopefully by now you've seen that there is another thread
about this going on right now. You need to remove the F45
controller, and have a dealer with a Tech2 remove this option
from the car, then the errors will go away for good.

Any help would be great.
It can be de-programmed by unplugging the computer in the rear compartment and then following these instructions. It is not difficult, and I plan to have this done very soon. http://www.stopforce.com/RPO.html
Thanks for the help. Hopefully when I get home from this place, I can take your info to another dealer and see if they can do any better. I got concerned when the dealership said they had no idea...That is pretty much I asked this question. I know that there are many threads that have the instructions on how to remove it. I just wanted to see if anyone had this issue with dealerships not fixing the issue and if there was something I was missing. Again, thanks for the help.
