I am going to have TSP LT headers, Hi-flos and I am keeping my straight pipes (no mufflers), is it worth the $$ to get a x-pipe even though i will have no back pressure?? Should I just stick with my stock h-pipe or will the x-pipe help with popping (again even though I have no back pressure I dont see how it will), plus those of you that have one was it worth it in your opnion or would you rather have the H-pipe sound??

My Headers came with an X Pipe and it significantly cut down the "motorboat gurgle" and alot decceleration popping. Some guys like that sound though...
The Stock H Pipe actually has a very small opening inside the 2.5" cross over pipe, which I think is just rediculous and hence the odd popping and gurgling...

Yea but doesent your car sound more like a indy car now? I figure the H-pipe will give me the deep muscle car sound
the problem is with the words "worth it".It was "worth it" to me to get rid of the hi-speed "poping" on decel. If you never go there it shouldn't be worth it; if you're getting it for "all the rwhp gains',don't.

The high speed popping on decel is your tune, your dumping way to much gas.

An Xpipe will help to balance out the two banks and more or less blend the sound. When I first put on my B&B bullet system I left the stock H pipe in place to see what it would sound like and I didn't care for it. It gurggled at an idle and popped and backfired when you would back off on the throtle. I installed a Magnaflow Xpipe and it sounds much better. Now you get just a deep rumble at idle , some mild popping at backoff and when you put your foot in it it has a kind of exotic/sidepipe growl! Good Luck!
