Help ! I changed the battery in one of the key FOBs for my 2000 FRC. It still will not work, won't resync. Looked at the owner's manual and it really doesn't tell you very much.
FYI....I have the other FOB and it works just fine. The reason I changed the battery in the other FOB was that it would not function unless it was right next to the car. So I figured the battery was dying. After replacing the battery it wouldn't work at all. It also would not re-sync.
Any ideas on what is wrong with this FOB ?
Advice, help, guidance PLEASE ?

Reason: Added more detail.
To synch hold both buttons down for 10 seconds until horn blows. Check battery contacts, make sure they are tight, not bent or loose. I assume battery is in the right way, believe plus side is up.
Relearn your fobs through the DIC, it's in the operator's manual. Do both fobs at the same time or the other one won't work any more. It's possible that the battery contacts in the fob are loose, or that you have a bad fob. 2000 fobs are famous for going bad, and the hardest and most expensive to find. They sell for around $80 on ebay usually. 2001 and up won't work on your car, but the 98-99 will, just the passive feature won't work. Just resyncing probably won't help, that's for when your car receiver and fob transmitter get out of sync on which frequency to use. Try relearn.
