Yup, it will fit. I installed a 78 series without any problem. It will use the factory hold down. I didn't know Sears sells a glass matt battery, did you ask them who makes it? Maybe Exicde. I bought a Excide Oribital battery. Napa, and NTB carries them. Or if you're not in a huge hurry check out Remmybattery.com. They ship right to your door cheap. David

Hard to know who makes them for Sears. Could be Exide maybe. The 880 CCA spec is good.

Not too long ago, someone posted that they installed this battery and was wondering if anybody had any experience with it since it was new.

So it will probably fit, but I don't remember if anyone else posted any experiences with it....

Yeah, that is great and the batteries other specs are better than those of the yellow top and the excide.
