Default Remote bleeder - Any issues?

I seem to remember some complaints a while back about the remote bleeders leaking at the bleed end, do I remember this wrong?

Also, some posted problems with the line rubbing through other things (fuel line was one), does anyone have a good routing for the line?

Want to order tonight so any input appreciated.

I did a google and came up dry, so mine is ordered. Sure hope I don't get 100 guys in here with problems now, although that appears to be how my luck runs

By the way, I polished the NW throttle body, came out beautiful

Default Remote Beleeder Leak

It leaked at the end where the bleeder is. No leaks at the T/O Brg.

It leaked all over my tunnel plate. But it made bleeding the clutch easy.

No issues with mine, other than I really had to tighten the bleeder end to get it to stop!

I tighten the crap out of the bleed screw and cover it w/ a vaccum cap for a finished look. No leaks.

I was the poor sap who had it rub through my fuel line while I was up in Nova (3.5 hrs from home) at a BBQ a few years back. It almost became a vette BBQ as my car was dumping fuel on my headers.

Wrap the bleed line in rubber hose and DEI cool tape and you'll be good to go.

That was a damn expensive tow bill

On the plus... it takes me about 3 min to bleed my clutch. I have it routed up behind the driver's side head rigth by the vaccum booster. It's zip tied to the black cable that runs along the fire wall, I think it's for the hood release.

Wow... where did it rub through at? I had a couple old DEI spark plug boots, I slipped them over mine and held them in place with zip ties

Well the fuel line runs up the firewall... the metal bleed line chafed right through it.

I bought mine from Charlie at RPM motors: http://rpm-motors-inc.com/

Figured since he was the originator of this item, then he should be honored by buying from him instead of the "copys" out there.

Mine leaked at first because I didn't tighten it down enough.

I didn't know that either, but I bought it from LAPD because they have been a supporting vendor on this forum for years and I know that I would be taken care of if I ever had an issue. To me, customer service is what gets me to buy from a vendor not to mention being in business for a long time. Who cares who invented something?

That's like saying that since Daimler invented the automobile, we should all buy Mercedes vehicles? That is the dumbest thing I ever heard!

Mine doesn't leak at all. From what I have read, it isn't the slave connetion that leaks.
