Default Brake Time

I have a stock setup on my C5 and want to upgrade to counter my new HP gain. On a budget, is the Z06 setup my best option? I know that there are a lot of higher-end brake setup's out there but I'm only putting 402hp to the rear wheels so I don't need the best the market has to offer.

If the Z06 is my best option, then I'm assuming that the rotors are no different than my stock C5. I would really just be looking at the calipers and pads, right?

I don't want to limit any responses but I also don't want to pay over $1K for a complete setup.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

Just FRESH DOT 4 brake fluid and pads, the stock C5 Z06 pads are actully very good.

Is there a difference between the stock C5 and Z06 rotors and calipers? I'm guessing that there is.

Default C5 Z06 Capilers and Rotor Differences

The Z06 calipers are red, standard C5 calipers are not. Thats it!

Rotors are the same also. The brake pads are different They are very good but very dusty.

no difference except color and pad.

Get the z06 pads and change your fluid that should be more than enough to handle your car.

Thank you gentlemen, I will save my pennies for other mods instead and just change the pads and fluid.
