I have the Corvette Garage HID kit on my Vette. I hooked it all up and everything worked like a charm. I had to send the driverside HID headlight assembly for repair. I get the headlight back today, put it in, hook up the connectors etc. The problem is this, I have had the battery dis connected for about a month or so straight. When I took the driver side headlight out, the passenger headlight motor stayed up since there wasnt the other HID connection. Once I went to trun off the HIDs they will turn off but wont close.
I dis connected the battery once again for several minutes. Hooked the battery back up and both headlights go down and close once they get power. Once the lights are on and you try and turn them off, they stay up. I can hear the motors trying to go down and see the manual ***** spin maybe half a turn and the lights stay up.
I dont think its te gears or the headlights wouldnt go up, right?? Or could the gears cause the lights to go up but not go down? And both headlight gears at the same time? There is no grinding, or any out of the ordinary noise.
Do they go down a little, but stop and you can hear clicking from the passenger side?
No they dont move at all, there is no clicking or grinding. The only time the lights will go down, is if I dis connect the batery for a while, and re connect it. Once it is re connected the lights go down.
Try putting the bright lights on before you turn the headlights off. see if they go down.

If they go down while the brights are on, how would I fix the problem so they wrok normally? What would cause that problem? I didnt have to do that before, I could just turn them off, and they would go down.
Mine didnt do this either, until I sent back my driver side light since it was damaged during shipping. After I got the light back today and hooked it back up did it start doing this. Im clueless as to why it didnt do it before but now it does?
I havent had a chance to call him yet as I picked up my package after he was already closed. Im going to call him today and see what the problem might be.

I think our passenger side low beam bulb is not providing enough resistance to the headlight control module. Try connecting the stock bulb back and see if it'll close normally.

I dont have the stock bulbs anymore, I sold them with the stock headlights.
If its not providing enough resistance why would the lights go down before and not now? I dont understand why they worked normally before and now they wont cooperate.

Not sure. But I had similar problems with my HID BULB kit (Not the projector kit). I had to reverse the polarity on the bulb to the connector to get it to work. And whenever the passenger side bulb it connected the lights won't go down. I tried connecting the stock bulb back on the passenger side and everything worked normal.
I called Corvette Garage and spoke to Chris, I told him about the situation, and he couldnt give me a answer or even a clue about why its doing this. The ground for the kit is where it should be abd is good, nothing is pinched, I have good connections.
Problem solved, the battery didnt have enough volts to power the headlights down. I had to charge it to a constant 12.5 volts for the lights to work normally.

Awesome, I just went through this situation this afternoon and came to the forum for help and here was your post with the solution.
Only thing is now when I turn the lights and the car off I get a short "buzzing" sound from the dash, any ideas on this ?, only happens when shutting down.

I just have the bulb replacement kit. Battery is fully charged and this problem still exists, lights will only go down when flipping the high beams on. Do I need to add some kind of relay or something?
