Fuel smell?
I have an MS3 cam and I hear it's common for big cams. I also have open cutouts and no cats. If I close the cutouts will this help get rid off the smell or do I have to go back to having cats? When I turn on the fan I smell it some times. Any way to get rid of that? Would a tunnel plate help?

If it is exhaust smell, fine. But if you smell gasoline, check the gas filter under the driver's side, it is not unusual for it to leak, it is located over the exhaust pipe, so leaks are not good.

Sorry, I didn't check your profile for the year of your car. Only the 2004 C5 does NOT have a fuel filter. Guess they were getting ready for the C6, which also does not have a filter. Actually GM says you never have to replace the fuel filter UNLESS there is a problem.
