Default procedure for Throttle position relearn?

I've been getting trouble codes related to my throttle body ever since i had it ported. I was told a throttle position relearn could solve these problems. Anyone know how to fix this?

Here you go, from the Shop Manual for a 1997:

Document ID# 407276
1997 Chevrolet/Geo Corvette

Idle Learn Procedure
Idle Learn Procedure
Anytime the PCM or the battery is disconnected, the PCM looses power, or the PCM is reprogrammed, the PCM's learned idle position is lost. The engine idle is unstable when the learned idle position is lost.

Perform the following procedure in order to return the learned idle to the correct position:

Automatic Transmission
Turn OFF the ignition.
Restore the PCM battery feed.
Turn OFF the A/C controls.
Set the parking brake and block the drive wheels.
Start the engine.
Allow the engine coolant temperature to reach 80°C (176°F)
Shift the transmission selector into the drive range.
Allow the engine to idle for 5 minutes.
Turn ON the A/C controls.
Allow the engine to idle for 5 minutes.
Shift the transmission selector into the park range.
Allow the engine to idle for 5 minutes.
Turn OFF the A/C controls.
Allow the engine to idle for 5 minutes.
Turn OFF the engine for 30 seconds.
Manual Transmission
Turn OFF the ignition.
Restore the PCM battery feed.
Turn OFF the A/C controls.
Set the parking brake and block the drive wheels.
Transmission in neutral.
Start the engine.
Allow the engine coolant temperature to reach 80°C (176°F)
Turn ON the A/C controls.
Allow the engine to idle for 5 minutes.
Turn OFF the A/C controls.
Allow the engine to idle for 5 minutes.
Turn OFF the engine for 30 seconds.

I assumed that "idle relearn" is what you were looking for. I looked under "Throttle Body Assembly Replacement" and only found the following refering to throttle position:

Check for complete throttle opening and closing positions by operating the accelerator pedal and monitoring the throttle angles using a scan tool. The accelerator pedal should operate freely without binding between full closed throttle and wide open throttle.

Who ported the throttle body? I have read articles about the benefits of porting a throttle body on the LSx engine and they all warn not to remove or touch the material at the point where the blade contacts the throat tube. They said this could adversely effect the idle quality and throttle performance.

I just got a ported throttle body from Mark Shaner at S2 Performance. Put it in and the car ran great from the first start up. No problems and no codes. Nice improvement in throttle response too.

Maybe you have a problem with the porting job.

Same procedure explained a little differently----C5--

1) turn key on--don't start--
2) remove fuses #16 and #23
3) turn key off
4) re-insert fuses
5) start engine run til coolant is 176 degrees and at least 5 minutes
6) shut off engine and leave off for 1 minute
7) drive car normally--it will now re-learn ide --takes 30-50 miles

NO !!…this has to do with “idle relearn” and not TPS relearn…there is no such thing as a TPS relearn……follow instructions I offered you on C6 Tech today.

Hey Rob. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but IIRC the idle relearn procedure is slightly different on an A4 than the manual 6spd. Dont know why, or if it matters. FWIW......
