Default radiator drain plug

Was draining antifreeze out of my 99, the drain plug is a little green thing that you twist 90 degrees, twisted it and the radiator began to drain, when container got full twisted the plug to stop the draining, that worked fine, however when I twisted it to start the draining again nothing comes out. Any ideas?

After turning the drain plug 90 degrees, I had to use a flat-blade screw driver inserted between the drain plug and the radiator to help pull the drain plug out (about 1/8 to 1/4 inch, towards the rear of the car). I suppose you could also try using plyers. Once the plug was pulled back from the radiator, the antifreeze drained.

If you've already drained a gallon or so, that might be all that you will get out on one drain (depending on if your thermostat is open and if your car is tipped slightly to the front or not).
