I bought some ZO6 exhaust with the bypass, and going to put them on this weekend. I did a search and couldn't come up with anything besides new gaskets that I'll need for this mod. Appreciate any advice on parts I'm missing from someone that has done this Thanks
You do not need a lift. Just a lot of courage and a good helper. The jack has to be offset to allow the tips to swing down.
My friend "Pitt" came over and helped get the C5 front up on ramps, then helped me align the jack stands when we raised / lowered the car. It would have been a lot easier if I knew to offset the jack so that the handle pointed towards the side of the C5 of the muffler being removed. (Driver side positoning shown in my picture).
Pass side is tighter, so do that first. Then driver side seems EASY.
If you dare to do this, BE CAREFUL AND USE JACK STANDS!!!
It helped me and my mech to try and instert the exhaust from the rear, but turn the entire thing sideways, get over and around stuff, then turn it like it will be mounted

you got to get her up there to get that right side out, remember, stability is a must if you're not using a lift.....I have LT's / freeflows and x/pipe.......nice and knarly...
Most good auto parts stores carry Exhaust Gasket material in sheets like this...
For about $10, you can cut out half a dozen gaskets. I keep a few sheets around just for those times when you need to do a job and don't want to chase down a gasket that should sell for a couple of bucks...

Sweet!!! I will have the same setup someday. Just have to convince the wife that LT's and x/pipe are not for sound, rather for better gas mileage

Was this easier b/ you had the setback of it not on a lift or you did have it on a lift?

Good luck... GUSTO
Thanks for the heads up on that. Sounds like a much better deal then $8 a gasket.
