Too noisy fuel pump
My fuel pump makes too much noise, would it will fail soon?
The sount isnt like you have low fuel, is the sound like and electric engine, you know what I mean?

Late 98's -2004 got an up-dated quieter pump. If you complained about it to the dealer when the car was under warranty, they replaced it with the quited pump. (I bitched about it in my early 98 and they replaced it)
It doesn't mean that the pump is bad. Its just noisy. You can change it but, it's involved and you will need to drain the tank. If you decide to do the up-grade, while your in there either clean the sending unit contacts or replace it with a new set of contacts. It will sooner or later go bad!
Yes, the pump that you will need is a 99-2003 pump. GM did a magor revamp on the fuel system on the 2004 C5's and I believe there way different. Call Gene Culley or Fred Bean for the parts details and price. There not cheap.
