Will active handling switch work for traction control>??
I have a 98 and need a new switch panel for the traction control. My question is can I use an active handling switch? will that shut off traction control or will it not work? Secondly, does anyone have a complete assembly laying around for cheap. The reason is the Active handling panels are on ebay, but no traction controls. I have a big hole in mine and dont want to just cover it up. I want to replace it. Let me know. Thanks all.
Yes, it should. I know the electrical connector for the button panel is the same between the two.
The TC/AH button is just a momentary single pole/throw switch action.
Push the button, connection between 2 wires closes....let off button, connection opens...So electrically speaking, the button does the same function no matter if the car is equipped with AH or not.
The only real difference would be the "Active Handling" words on the panel, and possibly the presence of the pass. airbag off light in the panel.
