Installed a new PS Pump, Pulley, and Belt and filled reservoir with fluid on my 99 VERT but it is not working at idle in neutral. Could the pump be bad, do I need to bleed the lines, how do I go about trouble shooting what might be the problem. I'm frustrated and out of ideas. Your advice is appreciated.
Not sure if this will work or not - but this is the procedure to use after removing a PS pump for a H/C swap to get the air out, so try it - I doubt your new PS pump is bad
1st - w/ the car off and steering unlocked, rotate the steering lock to lock about 25 times to get the air out - might want to loosen the PS reservior cap while doing this
2nd - start the car and rotate wheel lock to lock about 25 times
I can chech my service manual when I get home tomorrow if you need more info
The only way to bleed the P/S lines is to turn the wheel lock-to-lock 25-30 times.
I would go with the "quoted" suggestion.

Thanks for the advice guys. Before I received your response I tore it back down and prime the pump itself off the car until I got it to start squirting again, works fine now. Turning the wheel lock to lock one time would not be an easy task and I'm 240 lbs and bench press 400.
