Any secrets I need to know about replacing the exhaust on a stock C5 with a Z06 C5 system. I've been told it's pretty straight forward, but this is my first time and I don't want to end up with a disaster.
Edit - 4 bolts, 8 nuts, and 2 exhaust flanges later and you're done as long as the car is high enough off the ground. Best to find someone with a lift.
Here's a tip - the rear brackets mount to studs that are hung through the body. Once you drop the bracket, they hang loose and can be pushed (too easily) back up through the hole. If this happens, pop out a tail light to retrieve and replace it back in the hole.
You will need to drop the rear sway bar. Just undo the brackets. No need to take of the end links. I think the torque for the sway bar backets is 45 ft-lbs, but you should check.
