Default Z06 Exhaust

If I swap my stock exhaust on a 2000 conv. for a Z06 exhaust system, what can I expect in performance. Will there be any noticeable increase in hp. Any difference in sound.

Ya need headers and no or high flow cats to make the ti’s growl.

I replaced the stock catbacks on my '97 last summer with Ti. I like the sound better. It is a bit deeper at idle, and wails a bit more at WOT. As far as a noticeable performance gain, not really. That is true of most cat back systems. The real gain is with long tube headers, as others have pointed out.

They are lighter....

I did not notice any performance gain when switching, but they sounded nice.... and the weight off the car is always nice.

Beat me to it. They seem to be built a bit better than the stockers, but that might just be me...

Have a good one,
Mike

How much of a noticeable gain in power/sound will it make with just hi-flow cats and the Ti exhaust (stcok headers????

You will get a sound increase (which you also would get with high-flow cats and a stock exhaust, BTW) but don't believe you'd notice any SOTP difference. The power difference with those changes is pretty minimal.

The look of the Ti tips alone is worth it.

I put them on both my C5's for the light weight, the subtle sound difference and the great tips.
