I have also heard of people flushing out the DexCool and using regular anti freeze after.

I haven't personally haven't had any negative results running DeathCool, but it does seems to be very sensitive. I noticed a little bit of residue in my Camaro... some collected on the Coolant level sensor and it had to be cleaned so that "low coolant" light wouldn't go on... I didn't notice too much on my vette.

Someone posted a VERY interesting article in a thread I started on LS1Tech, Page 2. It's a very good read.

From what I've heard Prestone Extended Life is supposedly the same formulation as DexCool. The colors are just added. Otherwise all the coolants would be more or less clear.

I MIGHT change coolant... If I do I'll probably go with Zerex G-05 coolant. I think Ford, Mercedes-Benz and a few other companies use it without problems and their engines aluminum/iron/whatever like ours. I think the main thing is change it often...
