I changed the belts on my 01 but it's still squeaking. Sounds like a bad accessory or balancer. The balancer wobbles slightly, but not by much. I'm not sure what a bad one looks like. Do you have a film?
I made a film for you guys to watch. Of course it is not squealing as normal since it knew the camera was out but you can hear it a little (usually triple).
You should have heard it when I drove it to the dealer. That thing was so quiet the SA thought it was an electric vette!
I believe the slights wobble is a sign that it is going bad and should be replaced...replace it with a underdrive pulley fo a lil more HP

Did you replace it with a Goodyear Gatorback belt? You still may have to replace the pulleys, but I've heard the Gatorback won't squeak and often solves the problem.
I too had a squeak (stock 2003 C5)back in the freezing winter. I read all the posts and found that I also have a slightly wobbling balancer and the noise seemed to have come from the ac belt or ac pulley. Someone posted a possible problem of the steel balancer getting oxidized after rainfall or a very damp period of weather. Thus when the car was started the squeak would be obvious but would eventually go away after running for a while because the oxidation would somehow get rubbed off. This was exactly my problem my car would never squeak unless it rained and the problem would go away after a while. I purchased a Gatorback belt and intended to install myself when the weather warmed up to see if this could be a cheap fix without replacing the balancer. Well after 5-6 weeks of squeaking and the weather was still too cold to install the new belt, the squeak mysteriously stopped, even in the rain. I can't explain it??? I have the new belt but haven't installed it yet, I'm not gonna change anything unless the squeak comes back.
