I am going to get new GY GS-D3's either at Goodyear or Tire Rack. Besides lifting the car properly, what else do I need to have them be careful with? Should they not use the tire machine to break the tires from the rims because of the TPM sensors? Make sure the sensors don't get moved to other corners of the car. No air tools? Manually torque lug nuts to 100 ft. lbs. Will they think I'm an azzhat by demanding this? Thanks
If they think less of you because you care about your wheels, then I'd go to another tire shop. Who cares what they think anyway?
Discount Tire in my area is excellent. They have good prices and great customer service. It's OK to use the machine to dismount the tires, but they do have to be careful around the TPM sensor. You also should ask them to use the machine that doesn't gouge the inside of the wheel, although they should know this already.
